Alright, let me tell you ’bout this fella, Gadzhi… Gad… whatever his name is. This Gad-jee-ma-rod Hiramag-o-medov. That’s a mouthful, ain’t it? Anyways, he’s one of them fightin’ fellas, you know, the ones who wrestle and punch each other in a cage. Yeah, them MMA fellas.
This Gadzhi fella, he’s from Russia. You know, that big country with all the snow? He fights in somethin’ called ACA MMA. Don’t ask me what that means, sounds fancy, though. I reckon it’s like a big fightin’ club over there.
- He’s a welterweight, whatever that is. Sounds like he weighs a good bit, maybe like my prize-winning hog.
- They say he’s fightin’ out of Moscow. Big city, that Moscow. Probably lots of folks cheerin’ for him there.
Now, I don’t rightly understand all this fightin’ stuff. My son, he tries to explain it to me, somethin’ about points and submissions and knockouts. Sounds like a whole lotta ruckus to me. But this Gadzhi fella, they say he’s good. People watch him fight on somethin’ called ESPN. That’s a TV channel, I think.
They got his whole fightin’ history written down somewhere, all the fellas he’s wrestled with and punched. Imagine that! Someone keepin’ track of all your scraps. Must be important to folks, this fightin’ business.
I saw a video once, of him fightin’ some fella named Rodrigues. Rod-ree-guess. That’s another funny name. They were jumpin’ around like a couple of roosters in a barnyard fight. Swingin’ their fists and grabbin’ each other. Don’t know who won, but it sure was somethin’ to see.
They got his whole life story written down too, they call it a bio-graphy. Fancy word for tellin’ ya about someone’s life. Probably says where he grew up and how he got into all this fightin’. Maybe he was a rowdy kid, always scrapin’ in the schoolyard. Just like my grandkid, always gettin’ into trouble.
