Alright, let’s talk about this, uh, what’s it called? F1 Caterham CT01. It’s a car, y’know, for racin’. Fast cars, they are. Like them fancy things you see on the TV. Never been in one myself, but my nephew, he likes them cars.
So, this Caterham, they made this CT01 thing. Sounds like a robot, don’t it? But it ain’t. It’s a car for them racers. Real speedy, they say. Drives real fast around and around. Don’t see the point, myself. Gettin’ dizzy, that’s what I’d be doin’. But folks like it.
This car, it’s got somethin’ called KERS. Don’t ask me what that is. Some kind of engine thing, I reckon. Makes it go faster, maybe? Sounds complicated. They got all these fancy words for things these days. Just call it a fast car, why don’t they?
They got this fella, Mike Gascoyne. He’s the head honcho, the one who tells everyone what to do. Like the boss man. Then there’s Lewis Butler, he does the designin’. Makes the car look pretty, I guess. And Marianne Hinson, she’s the air lady. Makes the car go through the air better, somethin’ like that.
This CT01, it raced in 2012. Long time ago, ain’t it? Don’t remember much from back then. Was probably busy with the chickens. But they raced this car all over the place. Brazil, they said. That’s far away, ain’t it?
- Built for Speed: This Caterham car, it’s built for goin’ fast. That’s all they care about, these racers. Gotta be the fastest.
- Fancy Gadgets: Got this KERS thingy. Makes the car go zoom zoom, I bet. Don’t know how it works, though.
- Smart People: Mike, Lewis, Marianne… all them smart folks makin’ this car. Must be good at their job, I reckon.
They moved the team, too. Used to be in Hingham, now they’re in Leafield. Don’t know where them places are. Sounds like fancy towns. Probably got big houses and all that.
Sold the team, they did. To some folks from Switzerland and the Middle East. Rich fellas, I bet. Don’t know why they bought it. Just a bunch of cars goin’ round in circles. But hey, it’s their money, ain’t it?
This Caterham car, it’s a big deal for some folks. They like watchin’ it race. Gets their blood pumpin’, they say. Me? I’d rather watch the flowers grow. But each to their own, I always say.
So, that’s about all I know about this F1 Caterham CT01. It’s a fast car, made by smart people, raced a long time ago. And that’s about it. Now, where’s my tea? All this talkin’ makes me thirsty.
