Well, let me tell ya ’bout this “bb field” thing, whatever that is. Sounds fancy, but I’ll try to make sense of it for ya.
First off, seems like ya can book somethin’ called a “bb” in a field online. Now, I ain’t never booked nothin’ online, but my grandkid’s always tappin’ away on that phone of his. Says it’s easy. So, if ya wanna book a “bb,” whatever that is, looks like ya can do it on somethin’ called “*.” They say there ain’t no reservation costs, and the rates are great. And they got a whole bunch of these “properties,” they call ’em, to pick from. So, that sounds good, I guess.
Then there’s this other “field” place, Truist Field. Sounds like a big place, in some city called Charlotte, North Carolina. They play baseball there. You know, that game with the bats and balls? My husband used to listen to it on the radio sometimes. Anyways, this Truist Field, it’s where a team called the Charlotte Knights plays. They’re a minor league team, whatever that means. Not the big shots, but they still play ball, I reckon.
This field, it’s been around a while, seems like. People been arguin’ about buildin’ it for ages. But they finally got it done. It’s a big deal, this field, ’cause it’s one of the few sports buildin’s in that city. They got another one for football, and I guess this one’s for baseball.
- They got fancy stuff there, too. Clubs where ya can sit and see the whole city. VIP rooms, they call ’em, with bars and all. Must be nice for them rich folks.
- And they say it’s a good place for hittin’ home runs. That means the ball goes flyin’ far, I guess. Highest home run rate, they say. So, lots of excitement, maybe.
Now, this Truist Field, it used to be called somethin’ else. Seems like a bank, BBT, bought the name. Just like how they name highways after people, I guess. Money talks, as they say.
So, ya got two “fields” here. One where ya book a “bb,” and one where ya watch baseball. Two different things, but both called “field.” Confusin’, ain’t it? This world’s gettin’ too complicated for an old woman like me. But I tried my best to explain it to ya. Hope it makes some sense.
If you’re lookin’ to book somethin’ in a field, maybe a little getaway, then that * thing sounds like the ticket. But if you’re lookin’ for baseball and hot dogs, then that Truist Field in Charlotte is where ya wanna be. Just make sure ya bring enough money for them fancy club seats, if that’s your kinda thing.
And if you’re going to that baseball field, make sure you understand the parking situation. I heard tell that city parking can be a real bear. You don’t want to be driving around in circles when the game is starting. And maybe pack a sweater, even if it’s warm during the day. Those night games can get chilly, and you don’t want to be shivering in the stands. Also, bring cash, just in case. Some of them vendors might not take cards, and you don’t want to miss out on a good hot dog just because you don’t have the right kind of money.
Anyways, that’s all I know about these “bb fields”. It’s a funny ol’ world, with all these newfangled things. Makes my head spin sometimes. But that’s what I could gather from what I heard and read.
