Well, howdy there, y’all! Let me tell ya ’bout this big shindig happenin’ at Target Field on August 19th. It’s gonna be a real humdinger, let me tell ya!
Def Leppard and Journey, yeah, them fellers who sing all them songs on the radio, they’re gonna be playin’. And get this, Steve Miller Band is gonna be there too! Lordy, that’s a whole lotta music for one night. I reckon it’s gonna be louder than a rooster crowin’ at sunrise!
Now, I ain’t no spring chicken, but even I know some of them songs. My grandkids, they play that “Pour Some Sugar on Me” song all the time. Makes me wanna dance, even though my knees ain’t what they used to be. And that Journey feller, he sings that “Don’t Stop Believin’” song. That one always gets stuck in my head, like a catchy tune you can’t shake off.
They’re callin’ it the Summer Stadium Tour, and I guess it’s a pretty big deal. Folks are comin’ from all over to see these fellers play. They say the gates open at 4:30pm, so you gotta get there early if you wanna get a good spot. I ain’t sure I can stand for that long, but I reckon I’ll bring me a little foldin’ chair.
- Def Leppard – Them fellers with the loud guitars and that catchy “Sugar” song.
- Journey – The ones with that “Believin’” song that everyone sings along to.
- Steve Miller Band – Another bunch of fellers who play some good ol’ rock and roll.
They say Steve Miller’s gonna play for an hour, and then Def Leppard and Journey, they’ll each play for about an hour and a half. That’s a whole lotta singin’ and playin’. I hope them fellers got good strong voices, ’cause they’re gonna be usin’ ’em a lot that night.
Now, I heard tell that Cheap Trick is playin’ at some of these shows, but they ain’t gonna be at the Target Field one. That’s a shame, ’cause I like that “Surrender” song. But hey, you can’t have everything, I always say.
If you wanna go, you gotta get yourself some tickets. They’re sellin’ ’em all over the place, I hear. Ticketmaster, Vivid Seats, they all got ’em. Just make sure you don’t get scammed, ya hear? There’s always some folks tryin’ to take advantage of good people.
I ain’t sure how much them tickets cost, but I reckon they ain’t cheap. But hey, it’s a once-in-a-lifetime kinda thing, seein’ all them big bands in one place. If you got the money and you like that kinda music, then I say go for it. Life’s too short to miss out on the fun stuff.
So, if you’re lookin’ for somethin’ to do on August 19th, and you like a good ol’ rock and roll show, then head on down to Target Field. It’s gonna be a night to remember, that’s for sure. Just remember to wear your comfortable shoes, ’cause you’ll be doin’ a whole lotta standin’ and maybe even a little dancin’. And don’t forget your earplugs, ’cause it’s gonna be loud!
I’m thinkin’ about goin’ myself. It’s been a while since I been to a good concert. Might do me some good to get out and about and listen to some music. Who knows, maybe I’ll even learn some new dance moves. But I ain’t promisin’ nothin’! My old bones ain’t as limber as they used to be.
Anyways, that’s the scoop on this Def Leppard, Journey, and Steve Miller Band concert. Hope to see y’all there! It’s gonna be a real hootenanny!
