Alright, alright, listen up. You wanna know ’bout this Bayou Bend golf thing, huh? Let me tell ya, it’s a place, ya know? A place where folks go to hit little balls with sticks. I ain’t no expert, but I seen things.
So, this Bayou Bend, it’s got this golf course, they say. Golf Course. Sounds fancy, don’t it? But it’s just grass and dirt, really. They got holes, lots of ’em. People aim for these holes, tryin’ to get their balls in ’em. Don’t ask me why. Must be fun for some folks, I guess.
- First off, they got this 18 hole thing. 18 holes! That’s a lotta holes. Takes a long time to walk around all them holes, I bet. My feet would be killin’ me.
- Then, they say it’s “semi-private.” What’s that mean, huh? Like, kinda private, but not really? Can anyone just walk in there? Or do you gotta know somebody? Sounds confusing to me.
They talk about “tees” and “par” and all that. Don’t make no sense to me. Seems like a whole lotta numbers and rules. I like things simple, ya know? Just hit the ball and get it in the hole, right? Why make it so complicated?
I heard some folks say this place is in Crowley. Crowley, huh? Never been there myself. But they say it’s right off I-10. That’s a big road, I know that much. Lots of cars goin’ fast. So, I guess it’s easy to find, if you’re lookin’ for it.
Now, they say this place got trees. Lots of trees. And water, too. Sounds pretty, I guess. But I bet them balls get lost in that water all the time. What a waste! And the trees? Probably get in the way of hittin’ the ball. Just more trouble, if you ask me.
And get this, they got somethin’ called “slope rating” and “course rating.” What’s that all about? Sounds like they’re makin’ it up as they go. Just hit the ball, I say! Don’t need no fancy numbers.
Some other places, they talk about “high altitude.” Now, that’s somethin’ I understand. Up in the mountains, where the air is thin. Makes it hard to breathe. But this Bayou Bend, I don’t think it’s up in the mountains. It’s down by the bayou, they say. So, no high altitude problems, I reckon.
They also mention “jaw-dropping” views at other golf courses. Jaw-dropping, huh? Must be somethin’ to see. But this Bayou Bend, I don’t know if it’s got any jaw-droppin’ views. Probably just trees and water, like I said.
Anyway, if you’re into hittin’ little balls with sticks, maybe this Bayou Bend is for you. Go on, give it a try. But don’t blame me if you lose your ball in the water or get hit by a tree. I told ya, it’s just grass and dirt.
