Alright, let’s talk about this… uh… F1 MRT07 thingy. I ain’t no fancy car expert, ya hear? But I can tell ya what I know, or what I heard them fellas on the TV yappin’ about.
So, this MRT07, they also called it the MRT06, see? Confusin’ if ya ask me. Anyways, it was supposed to be a race car, a Formula One car, built by some folks called Manor Racing. Now, Formula One, that’s like the big leagues of racin’, real fast cars, lots of noise, and rich folks watchin’. This MRT07, it was meant for the 2017 season. They were gonna race it, y’know, go real fast ’round and ’round.
But here’s the kicker, they never finished buildin’ it! Yep, ran outta money, they did. Imagine that! Startin’ somethin’ and not finishin’ it. Reminds me of that time Jed tried to build a chicken coop… never mind, that’s another story.
Anyways, these Manor fellas, they went belly up in 2017. Some fancy folks called “administrators” took over. Sounds like a whole lotta trouble if ya ask me. All that work, all that money, and for what? Nothin’!
- They call it Manor MRT07, but also MRT06. Why two names? Makes no sense.
- It was for that Formula One racin’ thing.
- They didn’t finish buildin’ it ’cause they ran outta money.
- Manor Racing, they went bankrupt or somethin’.
Now, I heard tell there was a picture of this car, or a small version of it, in some wind tunnel. A wind tunnel? Sounds like a big ol’ fan to me. They use it to see how the air goes around the car, make it go faster, I guess. This fella, Joao, he worked for the team, and he posted a picture online. Showed folks what the car woulda looked like. Sixty percent of the real size, he said. And there were two designs, apparently. Two! And they couldn’t even finish one!
It’s a shame, really. All that effort, and it never even got to race. Reminds me of that prize-winning pumpkin I grew back in ’88… Again, never mind. This car, the MRT07, it’s like a ghost car now, ya know? Existed but never really lived. Never felt the wind, never heard the cheers, never tasted the victory… or the defeat, for that matter.
I reckon some folks, the real racing fans, they were lookin’ forward to seein’ it go. Formula One, it’s a big deal to some people. They follow it real close, know all the drivers, all the cars. They probably had all sorts of opinions on this MRT07, what it could do, what it couldn’t do.
And then, poof! Gone. Just like that. Money problems, they said. Happens all the time, I guess. Big dreams, empty pockets. A sad story, really, when ya think about it. A car that never was. A dream that never came true.
So, that’s the story of the F1 MRT07, as best as I can tell ya. Not much to show for it, just a bunch of coulda-beens and shoulda-beens. But that’s life, ain’t it? Sometimes things just don’t work out the way you planned. And sometimes, you just gotta shrug your shoulders and move on. Just like them Manor folks, I reckon. They probably went on to do other things, build other cars, or maybe they just went home and took a long nap. Who knows?
Anyways, that’s all I got on this here MRT07. Hope it made some sense to ya. It’s just a car that never raced, a story that never finished. But hey, at least we talked about it, right? Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go check on my chickens. They’re more reliable than these fancy race cars, that’s for sure.
