Alright, so listen up, y’all. Let me tell ya ’bout this here soccer game, the one with them city fellas, the NYCFC, and them Orlando City boys. Heard it was a 2-0 game, NYCFC won.
NYCFC done beat Orlando City, 2-0, yeah, that’s what I heard. Happened back in September, the 20th I think. They played in that big ol’ place in New York, Citi Field, they call it. Big place, I reckon, like a giant cornfield but with seats and lights and such.
- Game was at night, under them bright lights.
- Them city boys, NYCFC, they scored twice.
- Orlando City, well, they didn’t score none. Tough luck for them.
Now, I don’t know much about this soccer stuff, but from what I gather, NYCFC, they been havin’ a time beatin’ them American teams lately. This win was the first one in a while, they say. But they always seem to do good against Orlando, especially when they play at home. Heard they won five outta the last six times they played in New York. That’s somethin’, ain’t it?
Them Orlando boys, they still made it to the playoffs, though. Even after losin’ this game. Guess they done good enough in other games. Good for them, I say. Always good to see folks doin’ well, even if they lose sometimes. Life’s like that, you win some, you lose some.
One of them NYCFC fellas, a fella named Mounsef Bakrar, I think they said, he scored a goal in the first half. 37th minute, whatever that means. Probably means he kicked the ball into the net, right? That’s how ya score in soccer, ain’t it? Kick the ball into that big net thing.
Anyways, the game ended with NYCFC winnin’ 2-0. That’s the whole shebang, really. Two goals for the city boys, nothin’ for Orlando. They got all them stats and odds and whatnot, but I don’t pay much mind to that. Just tell me who won and who lost, that’s all I need to know.
Orlando City’s Playoffs and Rivalries. Now, even though Orlando lost this game, they still did alright in the playoffs. They even beat Atlanta United later on. That’s somethin’, ain’t it? Gives them folks in Orlando somethin’ to cheer about. Heard folks talkin’ ‘bout rivalries and such. Guess Orlando and Atlanta, they don’t much like each other on the soccer field. Just like them city boys and the Red Bulls, I hear tell. Always scrappin’ and fightin’ for that win. That’s the way it is with sports, I guess. Always gotta have someone to root against.
NYCFC’s First Trophy and Colors. Heard tell that NYCFC finally won a trophy after tryin’ for a long time. Good for them. They work hard, they deserve it. And them Orlando City fellas, they got them purple and gold colors. Pretty colors, I reckon. Purple like them grapes we used to grow back home, and gold like…well, like gold, I guess. Shiny and bright.
So, there ya have it. NYCFC won 2-0 against Orlando City. That’s the long and short of it. Nothin’ too fancy, just a good ol’ soccer game. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. That’s life, ain’t it?
Now, I’m gonna go make myself some tea. All this talkin’ about soccer makes a body thirsty.
