Alright, let’s talk about this nose guard thing. I ain’t no fancy expert, mind you, but I’ve seen a thing or two, and I reckon I can tell ya what’s what.
First off, what the heck is a nose guard anyway? Well, from what I gather, it’s somethin’ you put on your nose, or maybe on the front of somethin’ else, to keep it from gettin’ banged up. Like, you know, if you’re playin’ some rough sport and don’t wanna break your nose, you might wear one of them face mask thingies. That’s a nose guard.
Now, I hear there’s different kinds. Some are for people, like them sports ones. I saw one online, said it was for basketball or somethin’. Looked like a cage, kinda funny lookin’ if you ask me. But hey, if it keeps your nose from gettin’ smacked, I guess it’s worth it. They said it was adjustable, so I reckon it fits all sorts of faces, big and small.
Then there’s nose guards for other things. Like them surfboards, them long ones they use in the ocean. Apparently, the tip of the board, the nose, can get banged up pretty easy, so they put a guard on it. Makes sense, I guess. Don’t want your fancy board gettin’ all chipped and busted, especially when them things probably cost a pretty penny.
I also saw somethin’ about skateboard nose guards. Now that’s somethin’ I can understand. Kids these days, always flippin’ and floppin’ them skateboards around. Bound to bang ’em up somethin’ fierce. So, these guards, they go on the nose and tail, to keep ’em from gettin’ all scratched up. Smart, I tell ya, smart.
- Sports nose guards: keep your face safe.
- Surfboard nose guards: protect the tip of your board.
- Skateboard nose guards: save the nose and tail from damage.
And get this, there’s even nose guards for horses! Can you believe it? Keeps the flies outta their noses, I reckon. Poor critters, gotta deal with them pesky flies all day long. At least someone’s thinkin’ of ‘em.
Another kind I saw, these were little pads, for somethin’ called a CPAP ma-sk. I ain’t got no clue what that is, sounds fancy. But these pads, they go on your nose, I think, to make it more comfortable or somethin’. Guess if you gotta wear somethin’ on your face all night, you want it to be comfy, right?
Now, where can you get these nose guards? Well, I reckon you can find ’em online, that’s where I saw ’em. Plenty of stores sellin’ all sorts of things these days. Just gotta type in what you’re lookin’ for, and there it is. Magic, I tell ya, pure magic. Though, I ain’t too good with that computer stuff myself. My grandson helps me sometimes, bless his heart.
And how much do they cost? Well, that depends on what kind you’re gettin’. Them fancy sports ones, they’re probably gonna cost ya more than a little pad for your nose. But I saw one for like, fifty-some dollars, so I guess that’s about right. Them surfboard ones, probably cost a bit too. The skateboard ones, maybe not so much, they’re just little pieces of plastic or somethin’.
So, do you need a nose guard? Well, that depends on what you’re doin’. If you’re playin’ rough sports, or ridin’ them surfboards or skateboards, then yeah, probably a good idea. Keeps things from gettin’ broke, saves ya money in the long run, I reckon. If you ain’t doin’ nothin’ crazy, well then you probably don’t need one. But hey, it’s your nose, your board, your horse. You do what you think is best.
I tell ya, these young folks are always comin’ up with new things. Nose guards, who woulda thought? But I guess it makes sense. Gotta protect your stuff, and yourself, right? That’s what it all boils down to. Stay safe out there, folks, and keep your nose outta trouble…or maybe just put a guard on it!
