Well, let me tell ya ’bout this Wales v. somethin’ or other. Football, they call it. Don’t ask me why, always kickin’ that ball around like a bunch of restless chickens.
The Wales Team, Them Red Shirts
So, these fellas in red shirts, Wales, they were runnin’ around, kickin’ and kickin’. Heard tell they were playin’ some other folks, Ireland, Iceland, Montenegro, Slovakia… Too many names for an old woman like me to remember. They say Wales is doin’ alright though. Seems like they been winnin’ some games. That fella, Harry Wilson, they say he’s somethin’ special, kickin’ that ball like it owes him money.
One time, they played Iceland, and won big! Four to one, they said. A young fella, Liam Cullen, scored two goals. Good for him, I say. Bet his ma was proud. They even got promoted or somethin’ in somethin’ called the Nations League. Don’t ask me what that is, sounds fancy. Probably just a bunch of fellas kickin’ a ball, but with a fancy name.
- They played Iceland and won 4-1.
- Liam Cullen scored two goals.
- They got promoted in the Nations League.
Playing Those Other Teams
Then there was this other game, against Slovakia I think it was. Went into extra time, they did. Two to zero, Wales won. My goodness, all that runnin’ around, must be tirin’. And then they played Montenegro too. Won that one as well. Seems like these red-shirt fellas are pretty good at kickin’ that ball.
And this fella, Craig Bellamy, he’s the coach, or somethin’. They say he’s doin’ a good job. Keeps them boys kickin’ in the right direction, I guess. Keeps ’em unbeaten, they say. That’s a good thing, right? Means they ain’t losin’ much.
More Games and Scores
Now, they’re talkin’ ’bout playin’ Ireland again. In Dublin, they say. Aviva Stadium, whatever that is. Some big place, I reckon. Gonna be a tough game, they say. Ireland ain’t no slouches. They’ll be kickin’ and fightin’ too. Don’t know who’s gonna win, but I hope them Wales boys do alright. Makes folks happy when they win, ya know?
This game is part of somethin’ called the UEFA Euro 2025 play-offs. Sounds important. Another one of them fancy names. All I know is, they’ll be kickin’ that ball around again, and folks will be cheerin’ and yellin’. Just like always.
Game Times and Places
They played Iceland in somethin’ called Cardiff City Stadium. Heard it’s in Cardiff, Wales. That makes sense, I guess. And the game was on November 19th, 2024, at 7:45 in the evenin’. Imagine that, kickin’ a ball around in the dark. Kids these days!
And that game against Ireland, the one comin’ up, it’s on December 3rd. Tuesday, they say. Hope it ain’t too cold. Don’t want them fellas catchin’ a chill. Nothin’ worse than a cold when you’re tryin’ to kick a ball.
The Young Fella, Brennan Johnson
Then there’s this other young fella, Brennan Johnson. He was talkin’ on the telly, or so I heard. Said somethin’ ’bout togetherness. Said the team’s been stickin’ together for a couple of years now. That’s good, I say. Got to stick together, like a bunch of peas in a pod. That’s how ya win, ya know?
So, that’s about all I know ‘bout this Wales v. whatever. Just a bunch of fellas kickin’ a ball, but folks seem to like it. Makes ‘em happy, gets ‘em yellin’ and cheerin’. And that ain’t so bad, is it?
