Well, let me tell ya, this whole NBA 2K thing, it’s somethin’ else. My grandson, he’s always yellin’ about these “wizards” and their “black jerseys.” I tell ya, back in my day, wizards wore robes, not these fancy pants and shirts. But he keeps goin’ on and on, so I figured, let’s see what the fuss is all about.
So, this NBA 2K game, it’s got these basketball players, right? And these “wizards,” they’re a team, like a bunch of fellas playin’ together. And seems like they got all sorts of jerseys, different colors and styles. My grandson, he’s all excited about the black ones. Says they look “cool” and “tough.” I dunno, looks like a black shirt to me, but what do I know?
Now, this “Mahmood” fella, seems he’s got somethin’ to do with it too. Maybe he designed the jerseys? Or maybe he’s a player? My grandson mumbles so fast, I can’t hardly keep up. He’s always talkin’ about “ratings” and “stats” and all that jazz. I just nod along, pretendin’ I understand. He gets a kick outta that.
What’s all the fuss about these jerseys?
- They got different colors and styles. Some folks like the black ones, some like the blue ones. It’s all a matter of taste, I guess.
- Seems like you can buy these jerseys, too. Like, real jerseys you can wear. My grandson, he wants one so bad, he’s been savin’ his allowance. I told him, “Boy, you better off buyin’ yourself a good pair of work boots.” But he don’t listen.
- And in this 2K game, you can play with these wizards, wearin’ their black jerseys. You can make them shoot baskets and run around. It’s kinda like watchin’ a real game, but on a screen. Though, I tell ya, nothin’ beats watchin’ a real game, sittin’ in the stands, feelin’ the excitement.
I watched my grandson play this game for a while. He was controllin’ these wizards, makin’ ’em dribble and shoot. He got all excited when they scored. Yelled and jumped around like he won the lottery. It’s somethin’, seein’ how much fun he has.
The game keeps changin’, ya know?
They keep addin’ new stuff, like new jerseys and players. My grandson says they even added women players now. That’s somethin’, isn’t it? Back in my day, women played hopscotch and jump rope, not basketball. But times change, I guess.
And this Mahmood fella, he might be a big deal in this NBA 2K world. Maybe he’s one of them fellas that makes the game. Or maybe he plays for the wizards. I ain’t quite sure, and my grandson ain’t helpin’ much with his fast talkin’. All I know is, my grandson keeps sayin’ his name when he’s talkin’ about the game, so he must be important.
This 2K game, it’s got all sorts of teams and players. Not just the wizards. There’s the Hornets, and the Grizzlies, and a whole bunch of other names I can’t even pronounce. It’s like a whole world in there, on that little screen. It’s kinda amazin’, when you think about it. How they make all that happen, I don’t know. It’s all just a bunch of lights and sounds to me, but the young folks, they seem to love it.
So, these wizards and their black jerseys, they’re a big deal in this NBA 2K world. And Mahmood, he’s part of it somehow. It’s all a bit confusing to an old lady like me, but if it makes my grandson happy, then I guess it’s alright. He’s always talkin’ about the “city edition” jerseys too. Says they got somethin’ to do with the city the team’s from. I tell ya, these young folks, they got a name for everything. But at least it keeps him outta trouble, I suppose.
Anyhow, that’s what I know about these wizards black jerseys and this Mahmood fella. It ain’t much, but it’s the best I can do. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go make some supper. These young fellas, they’re always hungry after playin’ their video games.
